Compulab introduced Slim Fit-PC, which is the smallest unit capable of running Windows XP in the world and just compete Linutop tested in our columns in June.
The manufacturer has managed to integrate an AMD Geode LX800 500 MHz CPU and GPU combination, 512 MB of DDR memory and a non-removable 2.5-inch HDD 60GB in a box measuring only 10 x 11 x 3 cm. The machine is also equipped with Ethernet controllers and wireless 802.11 b / g and offers 3 USB ports, a VGA port and two jacks for audio inputs and outputs.
It can be delivered to choose Ubuntu, Gentoo, Windows XP, or without operating system in order to load directly from the network. Depending on configurations, it consumes 4 to 6 watts and will be marketed from September 25 at prices ranging from 295 to 335 dollars (210 to 235 euros excluding tax).
