Sony announced New Vaio PCs A, R, L, J and C.

Sony Japan seems to be in the mood to tweak much of the rest of its Vaio line of laptops and desktops. There are new machines in the A-series, C-series, L-series and R-series (bet you didn't know there were that many series.) The RT50 machines are aimed at more professional users, labeled as "photo edition" and having an anti-glare screen and a screen shield. The AW70 and AW50 are 18.1-inch laptops with Blu-ray burners, the CS60B is a 14.1-inch laptop in numerous colors and 802.11n wi-fi, and the LJ53B is one of Sony's stylish desktop all-in-one media-player machines. Prices go from $1,500 to $3,250, and though there's no official word, we can probably expect these upgrades to arrive in the rest of the world soon .

Like the Vaio Type A, sony decided to propose the Type R in either a Photo Edition or Video Edition (Adobe Software), but whatever edition you will choose, both of them will have the same Hardware with a Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400 (2.66GHz), 4GB of RAM, 1TB of HDD, a GeForce 9600M GT, Blu-Ray Burner, HDMI Out.
The Vaio R will also feature a 25.5” LCD with a 1920x1080 resolution and Adobe RGB Support (All in One Design).

Our new laptop comes with a 14.1-Inch LCD Screen in WXGA resolution (1,280x800), a core 2 Duo P8400(2.26GHz), 2GB of RAM (1x2GB), 160GB of HDD, an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphic accelerator, as well as Wifi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, FeliCa Port, Webcamera, DVD Super-multi Drive and Office Personal 2007.

Sony also introduced the Vaio Type J (VGC-JS50B/S), which will be available on September 20th. This one features a 20.1-Inch LCD Wide Screen in WSXGA+ resolution (1,680x1,050), a Dual core E2200(2.20GHz), 2GB of RAM (1x2GB), 320GB of HDD, an Intel X4500MHD graphic accelerator, Webcamera, DVD Super-multi Drive, Felica Port and Office Personal 2007.
The Japanese Manufacturer announced a price of 975€. For those who don’t want Office Personal 2007, it will cost 850€ (VGC-JS50/S).

The VAIO type A features an LED backlit 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 2.53GHz T9400 Core 2 Duo, Blu-ray burner, up to 4GB of memory and 2x 250GB of disk (plus 1x eSATA jack for more), an increasingly rare Firewire jack for your camcorder, 3x USB 2.0, and a high-speed UDMA-enabled CF slot for quick image transfers off your DSLR's CompactFlash card. As Sony's newest media flagship, we're also looking at HDMI-out, 802.11n WiFi, GeForce 9600M GT graphics, and a full suite of included image and video editing software from Adobe. All this in a relatively hefty 3.9-kg (8.6-pounds) rig. Although, with just 2-hours of battery you'll want to spring for the optional 3-hour add-on. Priced at around ¥320,000 (about $3,000) when these hit the streets of Japan at the end of the month.

The 14.1-inch VGN-CS60B offers a multi-colored light bar on the front that uses the Rolly's trademarked "12 Tone Analysis" to turn your dorm room into a (dimly lit) discotheque, and a series of blinking LEDs above the keyboard that makes adjusting the volume level a little more interesting. The Type C includes a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, 802.11n WiFi and a FeliCa port, all served up by Windows Vista Home Premium. Despite its ho-hum specs It should be enough to make Japanese schoolgirls giddy when it releases in Japan later this week for about $1,400.
