The computer ultra-portable Sony Vaio TZ, released May 29, 2007 to replace the range of TX, experienced few problems of overheating. Indeed, the company had to recall 440 000 models across the world.
The Japanese firm says that some components might overheat and cause a distortion of the housing at the connection of power cable CC and the LCD area. " The models affected by this defect are Vaio VGN TZ1, VGN TZ2 and some of the range VGN TZ3.
Sony invites owners of the Vaio in question to consult a website specially set up to check if the machine is affected by this problem.
According to CNN Money magazine, Sony has received over 200 complaints related to this anomaly which seven cases of minor burns.
