    Laptop temperature sensor

    Hi all.
I have a laptop with an AMD Sempron 2800+ processor.
I have used coolmon with mbm5 on my PC before. It shows the temperature readings corretly. But when i tried it on my notebook, the readings are 0. It means that the temp sensor is not recognised or it is not there.
    How do i confirm that?

I have two suggestions for you
    1)Try Speed Fan OR Everest
    2)Try Notebook Hardware Control

I don't know how hot that is, but guess it is more then ~80 degrees Celsius. Isn't there an option in the BIOS to change it? guess you dont have any guarantee left?
How old is this laptop and what model? It sounds like you have a faulty heat sink and sensor
