HP Deskjet F2280 and HP Photosmart C4380

A few weeks of the season, HP launches two new models of printers 3-to-1: Deskjet F2280 and Photosmart C4380. These so-called multifunction printers are able to deliver prints but also to scan documents or provide copies by the combination of printing and scanning functions. With these two models, one is far from the large range of renewing the beginning, but we can bet that HP has not yet killed all its cards.

    The Deskjet F2280
The Deskjet F2280 is a desktop machine, simple and cheap. It claims to use family and for that purpose has a touch of cancellation to avoid unnecessary printing in case of false manipulation. This printer is powered by two cartridges, one black (HP 21) and three colors (HP 22), each of which is available in XL.

    426 x 268 x 181 mm (bac folded) to 4.13 kg

Below are the basic specifications of the F2280:
    • Scanner Resolution: Up to 1 200 dpi
    • Copy Speed as "normal": 4 pages per minute
    • Print Speed as "normal": 7 pages per minute
    • Print Speed (photo 10 x 15 cm): 90 seconds

The Deskjet F2280 will be offered at a price of 59 euros.

    Photosmart C4380
The C4380 is a 3-to-1 oriented photo printer. As evidenced by the presence of a color screen of 3.8 cm, that of a card reader that lets you an impression without going through the PC, printing through five separate ink cartridges (HP 364) and finally the presence of a secondary tank dedicated to photo paper with a capacity of 20 sheets. The C4380 also benefits from a USB port and a tray for printing on printable CDs and DVDs.

    458 x 386 x 183 mm to 5.8 kg

This printer can in turn make use of cartridges greater capacity (XL) which, of course, subject to a higher rate, print 3 times more pages in black and 2.5 times more color. Side printing speed, count 30 seconds for a photo format 10 x 15, C4380 is then able to issue up to 11.5 pages per minute in monochrome. The Photosmart C4380 will be offered at a price of 89 euros.

I think it would be interesting to also give the price of cartridges to get a more concrete idea of the cost of the printer to use.

A cartridge for an HP XL is over 800 pages, other trademarks are between 300 and 550 pages, I prefer to pay a little more and not spend my life to change cartridges without stopping. My old 720c always works very well, and recently I have the D7260, quality! I have already tried Canon and its small cartridges, Epson and his big leak ink for a cleaning head, and Lexmark cartridges exorbitant rates......

I have an old stylus which operates 880 impec, 8-10 € ink every 4-5 months.
only a super tedious disassembly is required each year
