camera works, but with skype the computer restarts

so that's it and i am asking for help!!!

when i just start the camera it is working ok, i can see the image, but when i star it in skype call, the whole computer restarts

i have reinstalled the driver, changed the usb port... and nothing... ihave even reinstalled my xp windows...

Have you tried to update the camera software? It also might be possible that your computer specs wont be able to handle the skype video or camera functionality.

This problem only happens when you are trying to use video during calls as from what I have read so far. So you should either do the following.


1. Try to install the latest version of Skype from http://www.skype.com/go/download
2. Or make sure you have the latest audio, video and webcam drivers installed. If not please install them.

thank you all very much!
it seemed that after the new windows installation and consequently of skype, it did not automatically downloaded all skype updates like obviously it had been doing before. i checked manually, installed them and now that the camera works perfectly
