Lenovo's New Thinkpad W700

It is Lenovo's turn to present us the fastest portable market, it is the Thinkpad W700.Ce toy is equipped with a screen of 17 inches (1920x1200) and runs on the Intel quad-core mobile . The Thinkpad W700 can accommodate up to 8GB of RAM and a graphics board Quado NVIDIA FX, and two internal hard drives.

Indeed, 2GB are preconfigured with technology Intel Turbo Memory, too, one of two internal drives east to DSS. Where the W700 makes the difference is in tablet integrated alongside the trackpad and the probe color which allows automatic calibration of the screen and an optimized display.

For the level of connectivity, the Thinkpad W700 is compatible with WLAN802.11n, WWan 2, Bluetooth and WiMax. Note also that this notebook has five USB ports, a Blu-Ray, a memory card reader compatible with seven different formats and a fingerprint reader.

Peter Hortensius, vice president of mobile technology at Lenovo, said: "No other manufacturer distributes a laptop of such quality, with such performance and innovative."

LeThinkPad W700 will be available beginning in September 2008 from 2500 € HT.

I think the w700 will be available before the end of the month (August) and will be offered with Quad Core and the new Nvidia Quadro 3700.

The W700 might be of great interest to me. A 17" widescreen Thinkpad. Oh yes. I assume the GPU will have 512MB of dedicated VRAM?
