If Active Standby is activated on your Nokia N95, your WLAN connection status is always visible from standby mode. The bottom line of the screen shows your WLAN status. If there are no wireless networks in the area, you'll see the message 'No WLAN network found'. If you're near a WLAN that you're not connected to, you'll see the message 'WLAN name found'.
To log on to this network, simply highlight the WLAN status line and press the centre selection key. You'll see three options:
- Start Web browsing
- Search for WLAN
- Switch WLAN scan off
If the WLAN the N95 has detected is an open, unprotected network (and needs no passcode to access) then simply highlight Start Web browsing and press the centre selection key to go to your Bookmarks page and start browsing the web.
I know this thng but when i start browsing it says no reply from gateway.... wut is the solution?
wut router? i am using LAN connectiong i made ad hoc through vista and trying to connect my mobile. It gets connect but no browsing i have no router
You required Wifi Connection to access internet OR you can access internet using GPRS service Nokia N95 you.
For Wifi - you require Wifi router then your mobile will detect that wifi connection and you will be able to access internet on your mobile phone.
you are not getting me i said i have wifi in my laptop and in my n95 got?
i made ad hoc wireless connection. i connect my n95 with ad hoc connection its get connect but no browsing
