    External Hard Disk (portable)

Good for a number of issues that I have happened lately, including the fact that the laptop has decided to take the low forced, I am thinking about buying an external hard drive to save my important data. And as the theme of mobility gives me like I opted for the 3.5. As to mark I decided to Western Digital, hence I have no problems.

What do you think friends. Which would you recommend?

Western Digital has very good products and together with Samsung is my choice as to HDS. The problem of external drives is the heat it acquires if connected for long time. If only backup is considered, then will be no problem since it will be connected occasionally. Otherwise for continuous connection, you will need some ventilation box hardware attached to it.

It will not only be as a back up only but also will be used for storing and deleting certain data frequently.

I would prefer 2.5" instead of 3.5". I sold mine 3.5" to catch 2 2.5" WD-320G and I am delighted that no considerable difference is observed on the processor or anything.

Not anything mola 2.5 per 2 reasons:
    1. It feeds 1 USB and is a poor diet and dependent on the motherboard. Is not designed for that effort and this is not the first disk or motherboard that is present.

    2. Rescuing data from a 2.5 is more complex than a 3.5, both physical and logical as its connectivity is limited to try to rescue someone from day to day.

In my view such discs is only effective for transferring data, not to store and even less to support.

I so far I have not had any problems with my record by 2.5''in new computers. With those few years it (Athlon XP, Pentium 4): cuts Connection, which does not recognize it, which has no flow and hard disk makes distressing noises.
