Laptop's External Display Problem

Hi,

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X300, When hooking my laptop up using Windows XP to a projector, I am able to get output on the screen right until kdm starts after which the display switches to my laptop display and I was wondering how you get the external display to display anything. The backlight seems to work but there's never anything displayed. Any ideas?

Hi

You need to have a Docking Station which acts as an intermediate between the laptop and any external interface.

I had the same problem with my vista . so this is what I did - Go to Power Options (from the battery icon in Task Bar, or from Control Panel) and adjust the System Settings.
