i have this HP Pavilion dv6000 series notebook. Almost idle not in use for around half year. Now when i turned it on worked or 25-30 mins & turned off. Now it wont start up. Why? What should i do now?

I think its overheated try an ATX reset on the laptop by taking the battery out of the laptop press ON button for 30 seconds. Now reset battery in and try to power it on & see what happens.

I removed the battery, and tried to turn on the notebook, The blue lights on the laptop will flash on and then turns right off. Tried several times now. It just turned on for a second and turned right off. I have my data on this laptop & when technical aspects come i am a noob.
Please help me.
