    Drupal 7 VS Joomla

Regarding the choice of a content management system as part of a complex project, one must take into account a number of criteria: a unique design, a guarantee of stability and security, the ability to withstand high traffic to manage transactions, etc. As per the explained facts, Joomla is great for non-technical but not suited for complex projects. Drupal has many advanced features that make the difference with Joomla and WordPress. However, they require technical expertise and therefore a higher entry price higher.

Can you advise me on what is most appropriate ?

I like Drupal because it itself uses a database - typically comprising 60 to 300 tables according to the enabled modules - a hierarchy of functions and all substitutes for the experienced software developer to rewrite the only party that wants to change, and only at of abstraction at which he is interested, without affecting the rest. There are lots more features that makes me interested for Drupal is like once it is installed and configured, it can be used to create structured content and annotated by users who can register on the site. The menus of the site then have a standard look.

Besides the long awaited Joomla 1.6 version is "only" an intermediate version, instead Wordpress 3.0 Drupal 7 and both are shaping up to be phenomenal paradigm shift with tons of improvements and new features.

Both are better at their own places. Drupal is considerably more dominant and extra flexible. It appears to Views, CCK, Panels, etc. offers a huge benefit over Drupal than Joomla. You simply cannot get that stiffness with Joomla. You can put up any website that will be very fast with Joomla but will run into a wall before or earlier. Joomla is by far easier to configure and implement. Even with all free videos, blogs, etc, Drupal is still a challenge. I see great opportunities for business here. Hence, it depends on your requirements, which one is better.
