iMac 24" vs. MacBook Pro 15"

iMac 24" vs. MacBook Pro 15" Which one should i go for? I am in an urgent need for buying a Mac. I feel iMac 24" is good, but i haven't got good reviews about it? I'm into production studio [still a student] and i need to get a Mac so that i can learn the Mac softwares like Logic Pro, etc. So guys please help...

There is a screen related issue on the iMac 24" [both 2.66 and 3Ghz] Its a serious issue and i don't think you should put your leg in the puddle when you know you will get dirty... Go for MacBook Pro 15" instead, As you will be able to carry it along when on the move... More advantages... All the best!

Its a know issue and Mac accepts it and gets you a replacement if your mac is defective, but its a problem with 1 in 1000 and not a 100% problem... Don't stick to to what others say, but deciede for youself... I have a iMacBook Pro and i didn't face any issues...

I agree with Patio I too have a iMacBook Pro and i didn't face any issue either, Its like a lucky draw, or may be unluck draw you could say, If your luck you won't have any problem... And Apple gets you the replacement, then why compromise features... All the best!
