Which is the best CD/DVD burning software?

Guys vote for the best software for CD/DVD Burning.

    Roxio Easy CD Creator :

Easy CD Creator was originally developed by Incat Systems SRL in Milan, Italy, whose owner, Fabrizio Caffarelli (now CEO of TVBLOB srl), moved the company to the US in late 1993, forming a US corporation (Incat Systems Software) headquartered in Campbell, CA. The first version of the software was programmed by just one person, by the name of Tony Davidson. In August, 1995, Adaptec purchased the company (taking on most of the US-based staff) and the Easy CD family of software.

On June 26, 1996, Adaptec purchased "Corel CD Creator" from Corel Corp. for a $12 million cash transaction. Adaptec then merged CD Creator's wizard driven GUI interface, and Easy CD Pro's burning engine to create "Easy CD Creator". Soon after, Adaptec also purchased the Toast family of Macintosh CD recording software from its creator/founder, Markus Fest (later founder of Elgato). All of these products were managed by the Adaptec Software Products Group (Adaptec SPG).

On May 11, 2001, Easy CD Creator changed ownership after Adaptec spun off SPG to create a newly formed, independent company called Roxio. On August 9, 2004, Easy CD Creator (now known as "Easy Media Creator") changed ownership a second time after Roxio sold its consumer software division and its name and identity ("Roxio") to Sonic Solutions for $80 million. "Roxio" became Napster (having bought the name and other odds and ends of the Napster brand at auction) to focus on its online music service.

Easy CD Creator versions 3 and 4 were under the Adaptec brand, and are supported on systems running Microsoft Windows versions up to Windows 2000, but not Windows XP. Version 5 did support Windows XP only after the 5.1 patch was applied. By version 6, the product was now named "Easy CD & DVD Creator" which included a new burning engine, code named "Dragon" which was used in the CD Copier portion of the software suite.

In addition to being able to edit the contents of the disc images without decompressing, it can make a disc image from an existing CD/DVD-ROM. Also, it can make bootable image files (file extension .bif). MagicISO can also mount disc images with the addition of MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD Manager.

The trial version cannot handle disc images larger than 300 Mb. MagicISO is currently produced by MagicISO, Inc. The Company's domain name is registered to an address in Shanghai, China.
