    sad AMD Athlon 64 Restarts - Overheating

    My computer have the configuration:
    -----------------------------------
    AMD Athlon-64 2800+ (754 pin, I think);
    ASUS K8S-MX Motherboard (with SiS Mirage2 32/64/128 MB onboard graphics);
    2 x 256 = 512 MB RAM (333 MHz);
    2 HDDs (80 and 10 GBs), 1 FDD, 1 CD Reader and 1 Combo drive;
    SMPS 350 Watts;
    Self-assembled!

    Problem:
    --------
    The system restarts if I play games like NFS UG2, MaxPayne2 or even Deltaforce2 for 15-30 minutes. The Fan works louder and faster. CPU temperature, as shown by "ASUS Probe", is 68-75 degrees! In last 10 months my SMPS blown out twice. In first time a mechanic came and detached CPU from Heatsink, while diagonizing the problem. So second time I replaced myself. But the fan was louder before first time blown out of SMPS.

    I added an extra fan for pushing hot air out and I put a number of holes near the CPU on the cabinet for letting air in. But no use.

    How can I solve this problem? I'm really unhappy of seeing my "baby" too much hot and noicy... . Think of the tragedy, a boy of age 21 not able to play games...

    Please Help...

    Thanks in advance...

    Re: AMD Athlon 64 Restarts - Overheating

    Don't worry myself. I updated the BIOS to available latest stable version and now the temperature is not exceeding 67 degrees. Its 47 when idle. Thanks for all for nothing. Also no restart after 1 hr of playing Maxpayne2. THIS IS MY ADVICE TO ALL WITH SUCH PROBLEM...

    This was my first post on this forum, and this is replied by myself. Anyway, I liked the forum. But I expected atleast Mr. ***Freaky***, (i don't know the name!) will answer to me...
