bad performance with AMD A10 5800k Processors

I am using Asrock Extreme4 motherboard with 4gb RAM and a brand new AMD A10 5800k APU for gaming. I havent overclocked this system but if I am doing a benchmark then I am getting very low results in Vantage, 3Dmark, etc. The CPU is reported fine but the GPU is very lower in performance. I heard that if I overclock the RAM then the GPU from the APU will give good performance but the ram doesnt seems to be overclocking in the uefi mode. Any ideas how to do this? Thanks

I think that you are suppose to get a good performance with the APU that you have if you use the DirectX 11 performance. Can you tell me whether you have the latest graphics drivers installed and did you try to play different games for testing purpose. Also can you try to run the Windows Experience Index and see what score do you get for Aero graphics performance?

The integrated graphics chips of the APU has too many downfalls to it. The main problem lies with the RAM that you have discussed. Even if you get another dedicated video card then it will also not bring less performance. So for gaming you will need to have a good dedicated card because for high end performance this APU cannot handle the pressure.

Can you try to ensure that the RAM model that you have is setup in dual channel. You might be having atleast 4 slots of RAM on your motherboard so you need to ensure that the RAM sticks are connected properly for dual channel so that they function well. This problem that you are facing might be only happening if you are running the RAM on Single Channel. After doing this check the performance of your Amd A10-5800K processor.
