| overclocking MSI H61MA-E35 with i5 2500k
I want to purchase a new motherboard that will support intel icore processors. For that I have searched for the MSI H61MA-E35 Intel H61 which is coming in my budget, it is based on LGA 1155 socket and supports Intel 2nd Generation Core i7/ Core i5/ Core i3 Processors. So after including the intel Core i5 2500k, how much better performance will be able to get from this system build? Thanks for any guidance. |

There is no way that you can overclock with a h61 board, you will either require a P67 or Z68 based mobo that could be overclocked. So after you get some motherboard that is stated in this post, you will have to increase some amount of voltage for overclocking and get a sustainable stability untill it goes on black screen. Note that if more voltage is increased then you will definately see that the VRM's will be generating more heat, so what you can do over here is grab a cooling susbtance or a heatsink over the VRM's, so that the hot air dissipates. |
