What is Good for overclocking 2500k Processor, 16 GB or 8 GB RAM?

    Hi

I need to know something here, will it going to make any major difference in the clock speeds, well I will be able to get the say 2 2x4 gb sets of the RAM that too of same make . well I was thinking to get the 16 GB RAM so that I will be able to use the thing like that skyrim toolset and other toolsets , which if I am not wrong is taking up to the 3 to 5 GB of space itself . and also I need to know in case the motherboard support the 2133 than will it be better 2133 or just the or standard 1600 for overclocking . is there anyone here can help me on this , as I looked everywhere but was not able to find anything on this . I will be really be appreciating any afford.

    Thanks in advance

I guess that it will be lot easier to overclock with the 2 Ram stick but I m a not completely sure about this . what I suggest that you get the 8 GB set , the EBay has plenty and that too they are cheaper in cost . just be certain that you have set rated it to the at 1.5 v, except that you are benching , the 1600 will be perfectly fine for you and also keep it 1.55v , this is for the reason that you mainly have to use the multi for overclocking . and that do not stress the IMC an adequate amount at higher overclock so that it will make the RAM unstable while using 4 sticks. Well I feel it won’t be damage to overclock as you don’t start pushing the RAM to the major extent .

Well I feel the 16 GB should not affect the CPU Overclocking , although it will going to effect the memory overclocking , because the Sandy Bridge is not the bandwidth hungry. So I would not be worried to push the Memory that much in any case for everyday use. Well like to tell you that I have the i5 2550K with the gig of the similar RAM. I do not have to down clock the RAM before having the processor overclocked and the system is running just fine and stable . Perhaps I might be missing something although I ma having no trouble , in fact I have under clock my RAM to 1.55v instead of running it at 1.6v
