How to overclock Sapphire HD 6870?

Recently I have purchased Sapphire HD 6870 graphic card and I was trying to overclock the same. so far So far I am not having any experience of overclocking or something like that. I wanted to know how can I overclock this particular GPU by making use of Sapphire TRIXX overclocking tool. Currently core clock is running at 900MHz. there is nothing like safe overclock speed. So tell me if you know anything about the overclocking of above mentioned graphic card?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

You will not have any great difference in the performance if you are trying to overclock your GPU. You are getting 900Mhz in core clock so if you are able to get 1000mhz then its just improvement of 11%. Hence if you are getting 40 FPS while playing and now you will get 44FPS. The HAWK series graphic card is having great support for media as well as overclocking. Additionally it is having great performance improvement feature.

After going through the thing which you have stated over here I wanted to tell you that Core Clock as well as memory specs seems to be tight. I don’t think you will have more to do with overclocking. Better you should stick with Core Clock. However you should tune the RAM so that you can have stable core setting.

The basic thing is that you will need to increase the core clock and add voltage if it is required. You can make use of MSI Afterburner to do the same. it is flexible in terms of monitoring and feedback.

Well I have noticed that this particular graphic card did not seems to stable at 1000MHz core. However I have noticed that performance seems to be stable at 975MHz. anything above of the same could cause an issue such as computer crashing with white screen.
