How to overclock AMD HD4200 IGP (785G)?

well I am having AMD HD4200 IGP (785G). I wanted to know which software should I used to overclock the same. I am not able to make use of BIOS as it has been locked by manufacturer. catalyst 11.6b and 11.8 causing BSOD. MSI afterburner was able to detect but fails to overclock. Even Powerstrip and Rivatuner does not make any difference into the situation.
I am hoping that all the users of this particular forum will help me to resolve the matter.

As far as I know IGP is not designed for the purpose of overclock. There are no application available in the market which are not having support for the same. they are not having capacity to handle extra heat and power as well. Now in this particular situation I recommend that you should get stand alone graphic card. even you will get better result with low end graphic card such as HD4550.

You can overclock IGP through BIOS or get the software like AMD GPU clock tool. You are right software like Afterburner or riva tuner are not going to work at all. well I am having hd 4290 overclocked to 3Dmark 2800 with having HTlink 2600. Also I have increased CPU NB by 1.3v.

I found that AMD overdrive seems to working when I set VGA memory to Auto into the BIOS setup. I have already stated that I have installed OEM-supplied drivers. However when I simply set VGA to 512 MB and upgraded with Catalyst 11.6b or 11.8. but still I am getting BSOD when I am trying to increases IGP clock though it is a small in amount. Even I could not do the same through BIOS itself.

In this particular situation I wanted to tell you that its not a good thing to overclock integrated graphics. Such sub systems are having passive cooling and if you give any additional stress like heat or something would make negative effects on the video system and motherboard as well. Additionally HD4200 which has been implemented by the most of the manufacturer are having nice performance with standard ATI/AMD.
