How to Overclock new AMD 1100T

Before you start discovering my issue, 1 thing that I want you to know is that I am totally new to Overclocking and related terms. I wish to overclock my new AMD 1100T. All I want to do is get CPU to 4 GHz or higher if temps are ok. I’ve read quite a few things online about overclocking but still I don’t want to go ahead without proper advice.

I would love assisting you in the task. I’m glad you’ve read a few things about Overclocking and it’s very wise of you to seek some advice before going ahead. It’s any day better than goofing up and then crying for help. Anyways, before going ahead, I would require the specifications of your existing system.

There are some procedures with which you can go ahead with the Overclocking work. The RAM and timing would be too much for you considering you are not very well versed with the terms and all. The easiest and the most straight forward way to go about with overclocking would be by changing CPU multiplier in the BIOS.

I had three thubans and which averaged 1.4-1.41V for 4GHz on ambient which was loaded. You'll need to monitor for Vdroop (the amount voltage drops from idle to load).

The ambient at the moment is 28¬o c, 68% humidity,

    1. CPU @ 3.3ghz
    2. Bus Speed @ 200.0mhz
    3. HT link @ 2000.0mhz
    4. NB Frequency @ 2000.0mhz
    5. DRAM Freq @ 666.7mhz
    6. Idle Temp: 26'c
    7. Running Prime95 on Small FFTs for 20min
    8. Load Temp: 52'c solid

Since, your temperature is already too high, I guess you should not consider any option but Multiplier. That’ll be perfect and maximum you can do.
