How to Overclock Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 on a Gigabyte GA-P43-ES3G(rev1.4)and not having proper speed in kingston 1GB HyperX RAM - KHX8500D2/1G

As my thread title suggest I have two question and first of which is where can I find the information regarding Overclocking my Q9300 to 3.2 GHz I really want to know that and secondly I am having issue with my RAM Kingston KHX8500D2/1g (Part# 99U5315-053.A00LF) as it showing on the Easy Tune6 as PC2-5400 at 400MHz speed now I know the capacity is about 1066MHz speed and I don’t know how to rectify this as I can’t even figure out the problem can anybody provide me with the solution to get rid of this problem is there any recommended setting for the BIOS go get the proper performance configuration. I would be very glad if any one of you able to tell me that . please reply guys I need the solution for my this problem

The problem is simple that they are not real PC 8500 and the do not meet the regular standard . they need the high voltage for performing the operation at 1066 MHz so solution for that is

• Select performance and the enhance the standard, memory multiplier 3.20B
• set standard timing to manual 5-5-5-15
• Static tRead Value 7-6 in both channels
• Driving Strength 1066 both channels
• DRAM Voltage to the modules spec for DDR-1066
• set MCH Core 1.2v

And you can Overclock to 3.2GHz with Gigabyte board and if you want you can also get 3.16GHz but that depends but main thing for you is to check What kind of CPU cooler do you use.

Thanks man the advice worked perfectly now my pc is booting faster than usual an fo those who want I set my Static tRead Value to 6 that works for me . so far so good let’s see what next

I am using CoolMaster CI5-9IDSP-PL-GP Rated for Intel Core 2 Quad processor(130W) UPC code 870423005711 . my system is not that kind of fast its stable because I like it that ways when I boot the post I saw all the hard drives and extra times it misses some .my machine was upgraded from Pentium 4 Core Duo @3.4GHZ with a FSB of 800MHZ and it’s not that fast at least from my current configuration .i updated my Gigabyte mobo to Intel INF but the directions in read me file is not go with the information that Device Manager is giving me I don’t know why can you suggest any thing can I Overclock my pc too

Pentium has lower computing poer than Core CPU in computing pore but in the formal use there is no different using that cooler Overclocking will be very limited, 2.66GHz, perhaps 2.8GHz, not more and if you want to use 2.66GHz you will have to compensate with worse memory crisis If you want we can give you settings to work with, but overclocking require extended stability testing

I have same configuration developed my Pentium pc I would like to take my setting to 3.1 or 3.3 GHz . I am using the full tower casing with VERY good airflow. Also I want to know any problem with Intel INF update. I am running 4x1Gig memory. Is this type of memory a limitation?
