HOW TO overclock Intel E5800 Processor

I was planning to over clock the e5800 but don’t know how to do this. My stock fsb is about 800MHZ and the multiplier is about 16. The ram value is about 1600 MHz which usually clock down to 1333 MHz automatically. I’m little bit confused about the temperature. I’m having Intel E500 with HD 5830 graphics card and having 500 GB western digital hard disks. Can anyone tell me how to get the fsb at the 400 MHz which matches 1600 MHz ram?

I want to what you are using for stress testing. If the temperature is under the 50c then its good for the mobo. You can zip the small 50mm fan to the Northbridge while you are raising the vcore. And you should rise by 1 or 2 clicks at a time. Normally the 1:1 ration is running your ram. You must lower the multiplier so that the ram speed get lower and when you had reach the fsb wall then you should bump the vcore and then set the MCH from the 1.25 to the 1.3.

I had increase the voltages which is now 1.347 and the fsb is at 1333MHZ and the ram had down clocked to the 1333MHZ I had even tried in putting the profile to the 1 which had clock my cpu to the 400x8 and the ram at 1600MHZ which is at the same ratio. I had read somewhere that there is a chance of windows crashing is it true. Later I had put my voltage to the 1.350 and my windows crashes. Should I keep increasing the voltage would it going to work.

You must set your memory frequency at much lower but I don’t think so it would be going to cause you the problem. As you had said you are having the 1600 MHz ram which is set at the 1333 MHz I think you should try to make it lower. And if your problem is with the cooler then make sure that your cooler is dust free and it is having a thermal paste at an proper amount else it will really going to heat up your cpu and if you’re having the lock multiplier then the ratio would not going to be achieved.

Well even I’m trying to do this and I’m having the locked multiplier and I had built this computer and I think 52c is really a full load. I had increased the voltage at the ratio of 1:1 which is at 1600mhz. I want to ask is there any problem if I keep increasing the voltage and 1.35 is the high temperature. Lowering the ram doesn’t really increase the voltage but is there any problem if I lower it more. Well I think it really easy to achieve the 1:1 ratio.

if you keep on increasing the voltage then I think it won’t boot up so I would had never increase the voltage and the ratio of 1:1 is not achieved every time. If you’re having 1600 MHz then do you think the fsb will be going to 800 and I’m not sure about it. I had increase the voltage and it work at 33 MHz and now I think I just need little bit boosting and I will going to achieve it but I want to ask if it would be going to harm my system.

You much try the temperature for vchore to 1.3750 and then mch at 1.3 and then set the value for DRAM to 1.5. you should set this physically and these voltage is safe and you can even go beyond with the MCH and DRAM works well with the stock setting and for the vchore you can go as high to the 1.425. And make sure that you keep track of all the temperature’s after that if you get the problem with the windows then you must bump the vcore about 2 steps and then try it again and then watch the temperature.
