    How to overclock cor2duo e7400

    I want to overclock my core2duo e7400 procressor.but i dont know how to overclock.please help me.
    I have gigabyte g31 motherboard.2gb ram.nvidia 9400 512 mb gpu.intex 450wt psu.

    For overclocking you must first ensure some points. First if you overclock your cpu above the limited frequency then your cpu can be dead. Second you must have a good cooling solution on your system to remove the excess heat. Your motherboard Gigabyte G31 does not has much overclocking feature, so you will need to use other third party tool like Rivatuner. First download and install OCCT. Then run a test. This test will show you whether your system is fit for overclocking or not. If the test fails then do not overclock. If you succeeded then run Rivatuner. Go to Cpu section and increase the frequency. The disadvantage of overclocking is that it reduces your cpu life. So do that on your own risk.
