Need to know Overclocking Potential of Phenom II x4 925

Want to know the potential of the AMD Phenom II 925 processor. Since i will be purchasing this processor by the end of this month and hence i think it would be better to get some information before i purchase this information. I have heard that it becomes unstable when it is overclocked beyond 3.1 Ghz on stock voltages. Even it would be more helpful if you can provide me a good option for CPU cooling.

Not surprisingly, this model is identical to 910 (4 cores, 4 x 512 KB L2 cache, 6 MB L3 cache) but operate at 200 MHz higher: 2.8 GHz. The good news is that the TDP would be unchanged, at 95 W. The transition to socket AM3 and DDR3 therefore involves a 30 Watt TDP, compared to the Phenom X4 920 (Socket AM2 +, 2, 8 GHz) is at 125 W. The revision of the core is identical, however (C2). It is unknown at this time when AMD has no plans to make this model available, or if necessary be accompanied by a Phenom X4 945, or 950, 3 GHz.

I also had trouble with a coefficient of 14 on my athlon II 240, Proco would not go higher than 3.6 GHz (257 "FSB"). To go higher, try lowering the cpu to 13.5 coeff it had really helped to achieve the 3.8. Then, it is important to determine all voltages available in their original values (for the self, the already incremented, no need). Be careful not to exceed 2 Ghz spectrum for htlink and NB. it can lead to instability pass 2 Ghz. For many, and to see how far I can ride your CPU would advise you not to exceed 1.4 to 1.5 Ghz to start (real of course, coeff htlink or NB * "fsb") away from the story equation these 2 frequencies.

Thank you to you for this renewed interest for my overclock. It is true that I was a bit going down the arms. Tonight I'll put the screen shot of my bios and cpuz the screen.

For the time being check what i have:

    • Motherboard: 38 ° c max
    • I can not see the normal temprature "General" which is max 47 ° c with the vcore of 1.52 ° c
    • I tried SpeedFan, core temp. Nothing helps

if you had a good software I gladly take.

I have the 955 & the good & you can easily overclock. Think of it with the 925 as well. Without a voltage increase you could come forward to the 3.2 Ghz. You should adjust the BIOS is a feature called Performance, Over Clock, Advanced Clock, etc. Since the CPU has a multiplier of 14 has only you had the reference clock may increase slightly. The clock is set by default to 200Mhz. If you have no idea, you should leave it. It's actually not that difficult but I am not responsible!
