overclocking help for AMD x2 4200

I need to get some help for the overclocking of my AMD x2 4200 processor. These AMD x2 4200 is not responding quickly. At stock it runs at 2200MHz. So i want to improve on my clock speed. So suggest me some steps that i have to perform in order to improve the cycle rate. my configuration is listed below
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939
    Memory: 1 GB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-4-4-8 @ 200 MHz)
    HT Frequency ratio : 4x
    CPU clock: 232
    k8 clock ratio: 11x
    ddr clock/timing mode: auto
    ddr speed: 464

In order to improve the clock speed you must check with the processor. Check whether your system can be stable after a brief increase in the voltage power. An increase in the voltage power will ultimately lead to the increase in the core speed. So try overclocking with a particular voltage and check whether the system can remain stable for a particular time. If it remains stable for that duration then you can go further with the increase of the voltage. So i would advice you to check with the stability of the system.

OK the first step to go with the Overclocking is to increase the CPU voltage. Check in the BIOS if it is automatic or not. Check for the stability by increasing the voltage from that you will get a fair idea of the stability of the system. So if you think it is stable then you can increase it further more. Also adjust the other categories in the CPU voltage section manually. If they are present. During the increase the temperature always ensure that the temperature of the system should not increase beyond 50 degrees. Ensure the room temperature is also well maintained and also the CPU temperature.

I have done the same way as suggested by you. So what i observed is that my system touches the speed of 3.8GHz at 1.36V of vcore. I have tried testing on that for a quite some time and i have noticed that the system has remained stable which is a great news for me and also the core temperature did not go beyond the limit it stayed floating around 39 degrees. I am happy that my system is working well and all thanks to you guys. Thanks for your suggestions it has helped me a lot.
