Asus Rampage Extreme III + Intel I7 950

My equipment:

• Motherboard: Rampage Extreme III
• Processor: Intel Core i7 950
• Memory: 6GB Corsair DOMINATOR DDR3 2000MHz GT C8 3X2Go
• Graphics rendering card: Gigabyte GTX 470 Super Clock
• Power Supply: Be Quiet 700W Power System
• HDD: 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue

That I have a question about my Ram (DDR3), When I start the bios it gives me 1066 while I am having a 1333MHz ram. I am not able to figure out why this thing is not showing the full ram capacity. My motherboard is quiet high end and it is capable of running higher Mhz of ram. I do not think there is any problem in the setup. Is there something I have do in the bios to turn this thing on.

Well it can be due to misconfiguration. If you are having multiple ram sticks then just verify that all of them are having identical mhz. Sometime due to lack of proper ram specs this thing happen. So here you have to go in bios first and see under the ram section what you can find. You can try changing the ram slots also. And if possible try testing them on some other motherboard also. There you will find more details on the same. Try to reset the bios settings to default once and reboot your pc. I am quiet sure this is going to help more.

Ram config issue can be improper ram sticks. You have to check that once in some other pc as mentioned above. Sometime ram sticks are not proper in terms of specification. If you are not getting exact mhz then it means the ram sticks might not be proper. Mostly rams are not locked. They works with maximum mhz. It is good to find first whether ram are fine or not and that can be located by testing it on some other motherboard. I am quiet sure it will help.
