issue with my EP45-UD3P board Restarts on any OS

I am unable to boot Operating system installation live cds. I have following configuration:
    Model Name : GA-EP45-UD3P
    BIOS Version : F6
    VGA Brand : Nvidia Model
CPU Brand : Intel Model Q9450
Operation System : Windows 7 and Linux and Ubuntu live
    Memory Brand : Corsair DDRII
    Memory Size : 2x2 GB 800MHz
    Power Supply : 1000 W
I have tried the following operating systems so far: Ubuntu Live version 5.0(64 bit),Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. During installation it restarts and it does not matter whether hard drive is plugged in or not. With windows 7 it restarts when I select the language and click next, and with Ubuntu it restarts when trying to load. I think this might be a RAM timing issue. Now I do not have any ideas to get it installed. If you have any suggestion regarding to it please let me know.

I would suggest you to update your BIOS and clear DMI pool data from BIOS using Q-Flash and BIOS file on USB stick. In order to bring the Q-Flash at the Gigabyte screen press end. Disable all floppy drives and also from Boot order. Makesure that you disable the BIOS itself like Drive A.

I too have the same issue the system restarts when trying to install windows 7 or Ubuntu on this system and my configuration is almost same as yours. I did exactly the same thing as mentioned by you and have successfully flash the BIOS with version f6. DMI data disabled but it still get restarts on a windows and on ubuntu live disc. Does this may be PSU issue? I do not think that this problem is related to PSU. But if you have any idea to get rid of this problem please let me know. I have a SATA HDD and DVD r/w.I do not know how CMOS reset could not fix that?Thank you in advance for your valuable suggestions.

Can you please post your full BIOS setting in a template and details of your exact memory this could help me to better understand the issue. Also tell what port do you have your Hard drive and CD connected to? What settings you are using for the integrated Peripherals section of the BIOS?
    Integrated Peripherals
    Intel Controller
    SATA RAID/AHCI Mode
    SATA Port0-3 Native Mode
    Gigabyte Controller
Did you run memtest on this memory? If not then do one stick at a time.

With for 4GB you are suppose to set it to at 52 and set your RAM voltage manually, change MCH to 1.2 -1.24. You also need to move your drives as you are having your drives in wrong port, this may be the main reason for this problem but I would suggest you to first do the things mentioned. Put your operating system hard drive into SATAII and put your CD/DVD drive into SATAII_5. Hope this will help to solve your problem of operating system installation.

Re: issue with my EP45-UD3P board Restarts on any OS

I too have the same issue with EP45-UD3P board as when tyring to install operating system computer restarts, I search on Internet and found this forum. I have tried the thing mentioned above but it did not work for me still system restarts. I also have some high performance fan, do not have any room in case. I think this might be happening because it thinks fan is failing but this would not be too random, possible? Do you have any other ideas about this issue?
