    Core i5 750 max temperature

    Hello,
I come here to collect some information at temperatures of my new processor. So I was two weeks ago just set up my new pc, it has a core i5 - 750 and I think frankly that the temperature myself out (thanks to Everest and SpeedFan software are both consistent and they don ' show the "same" temperature at the same time) are high. First rest the processor temperature is always above 40 degrees. I have a ati hd 4890 so no problem) that has peaks over 70 ° as I've seen was 76 °. Finally, even a processor that makes higher peak temperatures at 70 ° it is still strange it seems. I use the original CPU cooler with its original thermal pad as well and I was making any overclocking. Also do I just remove the cooler and return without altering the thermal pad? Should I replace the pad by the heatsink? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Your temperature seems correct for a I5 degrees. The original coolers sold in 1156 and 1366 processors are not really top board I'll change with a more powerful you will lose easily 15 degrees already. I think you do not have to worry about this.

Hello and thank you for your response, a thermal pad is roughly the thermal paste manufacturer, is said pad because it is harder than the thermal paste, but hey they play the same role. Well I just can not find the temperatures of the i5 750.

Ba to reassure you a little before my q6600 + cooler home I was in 45 ° idle and I climbed a 70 ° burn. I change my cooler for a Zalman 9700 and the trial of OC 600MHz more is at 40 degrees idle and up to 60 ° in full. I hope this will help you.

Honestly, I have the same processor as you say it has a 750 on an i7 board P7P55D Pro and my CPU is idle is 43 degrees and game 48 ° so either your heatsink is not squarely on your processor, or your heatsink is not worth much, either your motherboard or dissipates heat badly because your box seems appropriate (broken). I think this is a good work done by the company.
