    Overclocking GTX295 1792MB

I want to overclock my graphic card GTX295 1792MB. The first reason is the pure pursuit of performance to get a high score on 3DMark06 or other bench . The second may be pushing his graphics card to gain some valuable background SPF : a gain of 10-15 % can be observed (and sometimes more! ) . Please help. Thanks in advance.

It is safe to overclock a graphics card except that it can become unstable. It may not be very good for the graphics card to overclock to the maximum. Because of this we can have freezes and artifacts in games . Artifacts that can even happen when you do not play games because of overheating. It may be in games even if it does not overheat because the graphics card was overclocked too . In this case , it is a bit lower frequency. Artifacts are forms of colors that appear . Here is a screenshot showing what it looks like .

We can not know in advance where you can even overclock a graphics card because the overclock is not an exact science . Like for example with my Geforce 4 TI 4800 SE can go 275/550 MHz to 325/675 MHz. With another Geforce 4 TI 4800 SE it may be possible to go for example to 332/672 MHz. So it's up to you to discover where you can go with your graphics card.

If you have a diet low end or the first price, kind of no name , which is not stable , tension and poor diet quality is poor. It may be a factor limiting your overclock . The solution would be to change your diet for good . If you need help choosing your food, ask me . Perhaps it just comes from your graphics card is not terrible for overclocking . If you have a graphics card that gets very hot , it 'd be a good idea to change the fan if you intend to overclock . It may help to better overclock . But know that changing one 's fan will void the warranty .

I said a little earlier, make sure you have the latest driver for your NVIDIA graphics card . If you update the driver for your graphics card, you 'll have to overclocker your graphics card . Once you 've downloaded, installed and launched the second RivaTuner Custimize click and click on the type of graphics card. Then check the Enable driver- level hardware overclocking. To learn more about increasing the frequency of your graphics card , read what I wrote below. Once you have chosen the frequency you want, click on Apply and then test overclocking at windows startup.

Increase the frequency of your GPU type 25 MHz and 50 MHz memory type . If your overclock is stable, increase approximately 5-10 MHz. If it is unstable after rising 5 to 10 MHz , return to the frequency that your overclock was stable and just increase the frequency of your GPU or memory to see if the instability comes from your GPU or memory.
