Benchmarks for the 5850 vs 5870?

Hey guys,

I am wondering if someone here who are aware about the proper place to find reviews pitting the 5850 against the 5870, I am trying to function out if its worth the £110 advance for the 5870, also does someone know the release date for the 2gb versions (or indeed if ATI is doing 2gb versions) and if they will create any difference on games playing at 1920x1200 with 2x or 4x AA with 16x AF? Any help would be appreciated...

I am using this forum for a long time to resolve my technical issues but get registered before some month whenever I need to upgrade I always looked here for the proper solution . Let me tell you something friends that you are loosing it, why? Because if you try get benchmark for 5870 or 580 fairly hot cards theses days right agree? I am unable to go to Graphics and pick 1920x1200 and find ANY of those cards on the list. Would you tell me something about this .....

If you already read the Legit Review , you know they put the new ATI Radeon 5850 and 5870 via some benchmarks with FurMark and catalog the results on their site. For example, simple rendering speed:

Benchmark evaluations : FurMark provides us some interesting results. Neither CrossFire nor SLI systems scale, so such type of benchmark is actually only best for looking at the only one GPU cards. The ATI Radeon HD 5850 was ~22% minimum speed than the Radeon HD 5870 as seen in this benchmark. They also compare temperatures (at idle and load), power consumption (at idle and load), and performance in several games.

I need to add one advance and necessary component to this review. The Powercolor 5870LCS is not a powercolor 5870 with an EK waterblock.

Actually, It is not a reference card - the power connectors to the back, but it does have a completely software modifiable voltage regulator.

The entire necessary voltage regulators are cooled very very fine with this brilliant waterblock and most stay at the core's temp, some moves 20 degrees maximum. it indicates that I am able to play at 1038 1.274v (Final OC tweak ing in process) without crashing (max bcbf2 time 2h) and actually I don't tear or artifact entirely.
