MSI Afterburner Disallowed Program PB error with COD4/5

    Hi,
I had overclocked my GPU using Msi Afterburner. I have a 5870 gpu support. I am getting problem in playing some games here. I am not able to play some games online where I am getting kicked by PB showing up a disallowed game error. I had tried the same with different versions, but not success here. What to do here to fix this issue. Does Afterburner is responsible for this.

The only best way to deal with this issue is delete and reinstall the Punkbuster Folder and Software. A fresh re installation will fix the issue. I am not sure about Afterburners relation with the PB kick. You can just try a fresh installation which works mostly. There might be some wrong configuration in the game which you are trying to play and which is breaking your connection.

That is right you can remove the punkbuster folder and software and then add that back again to fix this. This happened to me while playing battlefield. For this you have to delete the folder of punkbuster from Program Files > your game folder. Then Download and run the installation software for Punkbuster and click the Uninstall button. Now install it back again and run the same.

Try to delete the registry keys of PB tool first. For this type regedit on the ru box and then open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > ControlSet001 > Services. From her delete PnkBstrA, PnkBstrB, and PnkBstrK. Check once again that all is removed an then reboot your PC. You can do the same in ControlSet001 located in other folder. Install and try back.

After uninstall there are some file which stays in the windows drive. You have to delete that manually. The PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe file is located in the windows > system32 folder which even after fresh installation does not give work. For this you have to delete them manually and then try to connect to the game back again. I face this issue while playing battlefield.

Try to get some software update for PB error. It is a common issue and resolves once you re-installed everything. The PB directory lies on your windows directory which must be removed properly. Just download a fresh setup file form internet and add the game in it again. Like click on add game > call of duty waw. Run next and check for updates.
