Sapphire HD 4770 Arctic Cooling with non-reference VGPU controller uP6201BQ

I have recently bought a sapphire hard disk 4770 artich cooling but I am facing the problem with the overclocking, I can reach stable 930 on GPU but on memory I am able to rech completely stables 863 Mhz. But if I am going above that for example 864 MHz, then the result is black screen. Hence, I need the solution for Sapphire HD 4770 Arctic Cooling with non-reference VGPU controller uP6201BQ.

I will suggest you to use MSI afterburn 1.5.0 beta2 and revert it. You can also use PowerColor PCS 4770, it was also having the same problem but for that card they have the solution. According to me this card (BLUE PCB) have a different VGPU controller, So it has to be BIOS from the previous vesions, and for your information vgpu controler is uP6201BQ, memory controler

I am also facing the similar problem to solve this irritating problem I have sends an e-mail via their support ticket. The answered they replied is something like this “it's not a VBIOS bug”. I just want to know if it is not a VBIOS bug then what is this a hardware wall. I am able to reach up to 863 Mhz and the rest of thing is working fine.

I have got the solution for this, a VBIOS bug no modding, no bios flashing, everything on default.
    Disable ATI Catalyst
I think that having catalyst enabled locks the max OC to 830/850, and whenever i increase the memory to 860+, my screen goes black and needs to be restarted.
    On to the OC:
I am currently running my system at 870Mhz core and 940Mhz memory.
Using furmark it runs stable at 68C.

For solving this issue I have done this and I will suggest you the same.
    1. First update to the latest drivers.
    2. After that, you have to make sure that ATI CATALYST is not enabled in system tray, it should not be running in the background.
    3. Then use the RivaTuner for editing the configuration for making it to work with 4770
    4. Then over clock the card to 830 to 850
    5. After that run Furmark or any other program for GPU stress.
    6. Then you have increased the core + 10 MHz per minute till you get the system lockup.
    7. If you get the desired core then you have to increase the memory.
    8. Then you have to repeat the steps with memory
