Temperature of C2D processor while overclocking

Hi,
I had overclocked my Core 2 Duo processor just for testing purpose. But after that when I checked my cpu temperature, it goes high. I am not able to figure out the average temperature which must lie at the minimum point after or while overclocking. What is the most recommended temperature where the processor must lie while overclocking. Which tools we must use for that. Also how to ensure system stability after performing overclocking.

They say many silly things here and there on the maximum temperature of CPU Intel Core 2. The only reliable information available can be found in the technical documentation of these processors, available on the official website of Intel. The only temperature of interest is emerging in the Tc-max, ranging between 60.1 and 73.3 ° C, ie the temperature measured above the radiator of a standard Core 2 Duo support.

Experience has shown that temperature suppression Pentium Dual Core and Core 2, called Tjunction, is 85 ° C. Before reaching this temperature, the CPU goes in Throttle. It introduces cycles in order to reduce empty virtually its operating frequency and therefore the temperature of its cores. Although 85 ° C are accidentally met, the CPU halt its operation to avoid damage caused by overheating.

Re: Temperature of C2D processor while overclocking

Although it is virtually impossible to grill his CPU, it is still recommended not to exceed a temperature of 70 ° C load, to avoid turning your computer into a pizza oven. In addition, measurements at infrared thermometer showed that these probes were specific CPU support, but tended to greatly underestimate the temperature of the CPU idle. Thus, it is not uncommon to see a Core 2 Duo at least 30 ° C in idle. Do not Focus on this and focus on the temperature of the CPU load.

The stability of your machine is critical and these four software used to validate your settings. To test your memory stick, use MemTest86 + bootable from a floppy or CD. There is also a MemTest for Windows, but it is deemed unreliable, because Windows restricts access to some physical address space for security reasons. If errors are detected frequency standards, your memory stick may be faulty.

Re: Temperature of C2D processor while overclocking

OCCT and Orthos are the two main programs to effectively stress the trio CPU-chipset-memory. However, keep in mind that no program general public is able to heat your configuration in the same proportions as the two programs, even video games in high demand in CPU power, as Supreme Commander. Therefore the use of a video game to prove the stability of a machine is rarely a reliable method.
