32-nanometer manufacturing technology and dual-core architecture these elements are well accompanied, at least in theory, with high margins overclock ability overall. The Core i5 661 with frequency of default clock equal to 3.33 GHz, capable of spending up to 3.6 GHz when the Turbo Boost technology speaks at maximum potential.

I am not in the favor of the DH55TC Intel motherboard. used for performance the Asus P7H57D EVO-V for overclock, this could make the best possible options available to BIOS level to control processor and other components.

Blocking the frequency multiplier value of 26x, the maximum selectable bios, i intervened by increasing the base frequency clock to the value of 167 MHz, reaching the final clock frequency 4354 MHz and this value was obtained slight overvolt using a heatsink Thermaltake, Model 1156 Silent, which combines a massive building with heatpipes and copper base to an operating.. remarkably quiet.

Re: Intel Core i5 661 Overclocking

The margin achieved by overclocking the processor Core i5 661 is certainly very interesting, and can provide some basic guidelines on what expected with other versions of Core and Core i5 family i3 Clarkdale. We believe that the most passionate users will prefer to go to quad core native, but the prices of particular interest to some of the solutions i5 Core and Core i3 debut today, combined with the high margins overclock ability insured by 32-nanometer production technology, surely capture the attention of various enthusiasts.

Re: Intel Core i5 661 Overclocking

Line performance by the Intel Core i5 661 with 3D games are broadly in line with those of other dual-core solutions and the values certainly seem to serve at least in part the lower amount of L3 cache integrated into these CPUs, equal to 4 Mbytes, 8 Mbytes compared to other solutions Core i7. Similar comparison can be made with reference to the Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad, integrated L3 cache, but that does not have a unified L2 cache between cores high dimensions.
