Re: ASRock P55M Pro Overclocking performance

The P55M Pro offers early an interesting option that move the multiplier in Turbo mode (24). Only two other cards offer this option, the Maximus Formula III and P55-GD65 of MSI. The base clock of the P55M Pro has good flexibility ranging from 100 to 300Mhz is more than adequate, especially for a card range entry.

Once the CPU burn Intel motherboard becomes much less interesting, it goes into the penultimate position. The Maximus Formula III remains faithful to the first test by consuming as ever. It is 20 watts minimum above the other cards. The P55M Pro proves to be also quite greedy with 263 Watts, almost 50 Watts of more than P55M-UD4 also in Micro ATX. Maybe the automatic adjustment of the tension is not the strong point of the P55M Pro, look in more detail with a fixed voltage.

With a voltage set at 1.13125Volt Idle and the order remains the same Intel followed closely by both Gigabyte and P55M Pro and the P55-GD65 to fifteen Watts more and finally Maximus III in another 15 Watts further.

Re: ASRock P55M Pro Overclocking performance

i sought to measure the maximum FSB it was possible to achieve on my motherboards. To do this i used the same settings on all mounted and just the FSB, not here to quibble to 2MHz, so i used no 10Mhz then 5Mhz to determine the maximum FSB. While overclocking i seek a maximum stable FSB, to do each measured FSB was validated with 30-minute sessions OCCT.

The Maximus Formula III takes the lead with a fine frequency 200Mhz it was possible to achieve so stable.Gigabyte P55-UD6 follows very closely to 195MHz, followed also by the P55M-UD4 also in Gigabyte. The card from Asus, as the MSI card with 180MHz follow. Intel finally closing the with 170MHz. The card at ASRock behaves as well as others and not be ashamed of its overclocking capabilities.
