Overclock Radeon 9600 XT

Currently I have an Athlon 64 2800 + 1GB of ram and a MSI 9600XT and with this config, I have noticed that gradually my 9600 XT has a little trouble,while playing the game crashes, there is big lagg ... I can not even have a 100fps with Counter Strike 1.6 So,please tell me how to overclock my 9600XT with the original fan.

It is true that 100 FPS is very useful when screen is refreshed at 60 Hz. i do not think your 9600XT is capable of reaching 100 fps. at 60 hz. In more fps you can see image more comfortable . But first get your latest drivers. also cs 1.6 does not require too much but the radeon is not screwed to provide much either.

To overclock the Radeon 9600XT .I used the little program Rage3D also the Tweak is available on there site. i was able to push the VPU to 540 MHz when it was originally at 500 MHz. The memory of his side was able to hold at 720 MHz against 600 MHz before.you can overclock 9600XT with the original fan or enable / disable with ATI tray tool for stable 100FPS .

I had good overclocking with this card and there you will surely be able to go further than 720 MHz with better cooling, because I could run the card at higher frequencies, but with glitches on the screen. The map was indeed a core at 580 MHz without freezing, but I had a checkerboard effect on the screen.

For the PMA to install the drivers supplied with your motherboard or the bios see if it is positioned well. overclocking this card does not allow a huge increase in performance with them. with Wings of Fury was somewhat closer to the consumption power of a current set by cons and that has good overclocking since it earns 14 frames per second more.

the Asus Radeon 9600XT/TVD is no more expensive than the Radeon 9600XT other major manufacturers such as Hercules but 9600XT/TVD has VIVO functions and is provided with a bundle result. In addition its overclocking ability is excellent.also some have managed to reach 600 MHz with this card!
