Power Problems in Acer Aspire one

Hello,
I purchased an ACER Aspire One in last year.I upgraded memory to 1.5gb and it was working fine.but from few days my laptop began to display error messages. When i switch on the laptop, it boots but shows windows error.I tried to repair it but it did not work. Whenever the R option is selected it shuts down.I tried booting from external CD rom but it shuts down. If i try to enter BIOS and try to set the boot options it shuts down. I have removed the battery but still the problem is persisting.
If you have any suggestions let me know

You can try to boot in safe mode and do a system restore. This will recover windows from an earlier time (restore point). To boot in safe mode press F8 when your laptop starts. Then choose safe mode.Once you have logged in safe mode just do a system restore.Follow this steps to do System Restore.Click on Start-- All Programs-- Accessories-- System Tools and then select System Restore.Choose a date(restore point) when your pc was running fine.It takes some time to restore the system. After the procedure is done start your laptop normally.

I also faced the same problem with my Acer aspire One.Here's what i did to solve it.I replaced the hard disk drive and it worked. It seems that the hard drive had bad sectors due to which windows was unable to boot or repaired by windows.I had to open my case to change the hard drive so now the warranty is void. After installing the new hard drive i installed all the drivers which are available on the ACER website.

Re: Power Problems in Acer Aspire one

I own a netbook and my netbook also used to reboot after 20-30s.when i tried to find out what the problem is, i found that the cooling fan was not working because of which the netbook used to reboot. After trying several things and scouting on the net for answers, I gently tapped the netbook around where the fan is and booted again. This time, I could hear the fan hiss. The netbook started working just like before.
hope this information helps you.
