Hey guys,
Been spitting around alot of forums to try and solve my problem but still no luck.
Maybe u guys can help me solve the problem.
My setup:
Case: HAF 922 With the standard 120mm fan at the back blowing out - 230 mm fan on top blowing out - 120mm in front blowing in- 2 x120 mm on the side blowing in.
PSU: Antec 850 W
Mobo: Asus p6t SE
CPU: i7 920
CPU-Cooler: Scythe mugen II With fan blowing towards the rear 120 mm fan
6GB Tri-Kit OCZ 1600 8-8-8-24 1.65V
2x HD4870 in Crossfire with ATI 9.9 driver (stock speed)
1tb Sata HDD
LG DVD RW
--------------------------------------------------------
-Builded the pc myself
-First time i started up my pc..it didnt start.. came to notice i attached a psu cable from a different psu (old 650 w psu) to the 850w.. removed it.and the pc started.
-Installed windows 7 7600 Plus ATI Driver 9.9 --> all ran fine.
-flashed bios to 0603
-Then id thought to try and o'clock my system --->Read some about overclocking in this guide:
-3.2 Gig was stable in prime 95 for 45 mins..(in coretemp: cpu was 45 degrees celsius stressed- idle 35 degrees) then ive done the 3.8 part and pc shut down after 15 mins of prime95.
After that pc stopped going to bios...everything turned on..but no beeps and no bios.
removed battery. for half a day..set jumpers..removed 1 stick of memory..vid cards etc... no luck.
Just after 2 days of no power to the pc the pc started again.
-Reflashed bios to 0603
-left everything at stock speed and auto
-reinstalled windows 7
-installed ati driver 9.9
-ran prime 95.. after 20 mins.. bsod 0x124. dump file read..it said 0x124. internal hardware error
- sometimes i can play a game or internet for like 2 hours..then it shuts down. again.
I am now thinking either my powersupply is broken..cause of the wrongly inserted cable
or its my cpu cause of the o;clock to 3.8
But in my opinion its abit strange my cpu is the problem cause at 3.8 prime 95 my core temps were about 59 degrees stressed.
Is there anyone that can help me out here?
Many thanks in advance.
