    What is Temp 3

I installed SpeedFan on my computer to check the temperature. When I launched it I noticed that I am getting 3 different temperature from my computer. The first was my motherboard, then my HDD and the other was called Temp 3. I don't know what does this mean. Can anyone tell me what is this Temp 3 and from where I am getting this temperature?

Temp 3 is nothing but the temperature of your graphics card or GPU. The first 2 temperatures are from your cores. If you are not sure about this and want to confirm what I said is correct then you can try to run Everest and monitor the temperature of your computer.

    Re: What is Temp 3

Yes Omari is correct, Temp 3 is the temperature from your video card. However this is not the case if you are having single core processor. Usually if you are having dual core processors then the convention says that the first 2 temperatures are for processor and the third is for video card. And, if any, the fourth is for your north bridge.
