Overclock amd athlon 3700 with asus a8v-x

I am trying to overclock my CPU an athlon 64 3700 but i am unable to exceed 2.45 Ghz.when I exceed 2.45 Ghz windows did not start simply, after loading the bios the screen goes black and nothing more.

Here is my config:
asus A8V-x
A64 3700 +
MSI X1950 pro agp
512gb * 4 DDR

I thing there is some problem with asus a8v-x you need to configure with some overclocking utility from windows as benchmark that will help you to decide your range of overclocking. and its always easy to use but while using application disable all bios changes that you have made for overclocking.before desynchronizing, you should have to test its limits, increasing the vDIMM if needed (DDR Voltage Control). you should disabled CPU Spread Spectrum.

If you have 2445mhz so the multiplier cof 11x222 = 2442mhz if it is then as you dropped the ht in the bios to 800 or x4 instead of x5 or 1000.since it has 4 * 512 RAM, it must be de-sync train 333Mhz . I think it may come from the HT coeff also put 4 . You can change the vCore with Windows Clockgen, subject to finding the correct version for your motherboard.

i have vcore 1.408v to get 2401 with the timing 2.5-3-3-7 which is stable but you can go further required cool n quiet blocked also check for bios fsb need to match up with fsb:memory so normally sync or 1:1.
