Overclock e8400 with software

Hi, I have intel Core2Duo E8400 @ 3.0GHz. I want to overclock my processer , can you tell me How can we do it ? I don't have any idea about Overclocking a CPU , I was thinking about overclocking my CPU but never overclocked anything before so I'm not sure how it works. My friend said you need certain software, does anyone know where I can get some?

Can you Tell me how to overclock my 8400 cpu and i dont want to make a different setting in the bios ,if possible recommend me software overclocking

Software overcloking is not recommended , instead try Bios overclocking , do not changed anything (FSB, vCore, ...) in this bios just used the default motherboard overclocking in the BIOS , Overclocking is 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% , I understand that it is better to do it manually at this moment

(for my pc I begin by identifying the limits of the FSB then the memory and CPU, to be sure that what is the blocking point of overclocking , if we know the limit of each element, we know easily identify error and can better solve the problem, by putting the coefficient multiplier )
