Overclocking Q9550 2.83 GHz 12 mb

Still i have not received my cpu which is from Intel Q9550 2.83 GHz 12 mb but i want to know is it possible to OC it as it will provide more power so it is a Q9550 2.83 GHz 12 mb cache 2800 MHz FSB, And my motherboard at 1333 MHz, my ram is at 1333 MHz? so tell me is it possible to overclock it ? also tell me about motherboard also thank you ..

yes you can easily over clock performance push it for oreout , try Clock on the 3600 MHz and you can make a big difference However, you do not overclock if you have the good cooler for CPU.

awesome CPU raised FPS of my game while i play as compared to the dual core its best i doth think it require overclocking if you are looking through basic and simple gaming lookout dont listen to people that say rubbish about it My FPS in GTA4 went from 17 to 58

m using Ultra Chilltec getting about 42C on average. Very good performer,also this is best as the Q9550S doesnt overclock better then the Q9550

CPU FSB = 333MHZ
multiples = 8.5

A theoretical max oc would be 8.5 * 666mhz = 5661MHZ
There is probably something to get off before you get there, but you should be able to oc. part.
