    Core 2 Duo E7500 overclocking

    Hello,

    I have an a asus p5q motherboard with Core 2 Duo E7500. I searched on net for help but could not get any information on overclocking E7500. Is the E7500 can be overclocked, And has experience of overclocking E7500 ?

    You can overclock the northbridge (FSB of 1066 to 1333) and not the processor. That is almost the same CPU only a slightly lower multiplier, but you can see how far you go. Since the FSB is not the limiting factor.

    If you are using an Asus P5Q Pro mainboard then you should be able to get well past 3 ghz a decent cpu cooler would be recommended. Regarding that memory that you have nothing to with your current motherboard, and for that price you also have almost 4GB of 800MHz to 4GHz CPU you can overclock without overclocking the memory.
