1333 MHz memory with intel Core i7

    Hi All,

I recently got a new PC , I have an intel i7 920, a gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 and Kingston ValueRam PC10600 memory. I want to run my memory at 1333MHz instead of 1066MHz that standard. I found out that its is possible but then had the default multiplier of i7 will run around 3.5 GHz instead of 2.66 GHz. Is there any trick by which i can run higher memory at a higher mulitplier ?

You can also increase the memory multiplier and increase the multiplier uncore correctly. set the uncore speed always 2x the memory bandwidth is 2x + 1. If the memory is 1333 is uncore in 2666 or 2800 2x + 1. Moreover the processor is not radically warmer until you dont increase the voltage.

I think your processor still slower than your memory. To your memory running at 1333MHz, you must not increase BCLK. You can set like this BCLK to 133 , CPU Multiplier 20x, QPI Multiplier 18x, Memory Multiplier to 10x, Uncore Multiplier to 20x. uncore multiplier just always at least twice as much as your memory multiplier. Thus, a higher multiplier than 8x memory and a BCLK of 133MHz.

Core i7 processors supports maximum memory speed of the 1066 MHz. but frequencies of 1333, 1600, and 2000 MHz can be archived with the Core i7 965 Extreme Edition. but then it will be too expensive. Whether you buy DDR3 memory, which runs at 1333 Mhz.but for that you will have to spend a lot of money.
