    idea OverClocking Intel E2200

    Hello Everybody,

I would like to know that how do i overclock my Intel E2200 Processor. It has 2Gb DDR2 Transcend Ram in it. Does any body knows that how can i do so? Kindly provide me the correct logical steps for doing so. Any kind of information on the above issue would be appreciated.

    Thanks a lot.

First of all, there is a rule about overclocking. "Do not overclock with parts you cannot afford to replace"

If you understand that and are comfortable with it, we can continue. First you need to post your exact system specs, i.e. make and model of motherboard, brand and speed of ram, brand and wattage of power supply, etc, etc.

When comparing matching CPU clocks Some apps show no difference. Others apps show that you nearly loose a speed grade by dropping down a Cache size.

    I.E. 1.8 Ghz E6000 Series = 2.0 Ghz E4000 Series = 2.2 Ghz E2000 Series

Thats not to say that these aren't some great value chips as there are still plenty of apps that aren't heavily effected by the cache sizes. And for those doing a bit of over clocking they are crazy good value. Just something to keep in mind.

E2180 is better, e2200 would not stand the way e2180 overclocks, i have e2140, it has overclocked from 1.6 to 3.0 at stock heatsink, and 3.4 with geminii-2 cooler. They produce less heat and hence stable at high clock speed.

I know little bit about overclocking thing, but if i had been doing that would sure generate a lot of heat. Although I went from 1.6 to 3.0 with only about a 3 degree difference on both ends, so you could certainly try creeping up there and keep an eye on the temp at each step.
