    Speed Fan vs Core Temp

    hi,
In speed fan I am sitting around 19-20 C for all cores of my i7,I have used some other programs such as Core Temp and PC Wizard to validate the Speedfan readings.my question is simple coretemp or speedfan for accuracy?Any recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

for stock speeds and cooling seems about right, especially if its winter time, my stocked clocked FX-62 drops to 15-16C idle and about 30-35C load in the winter, but i use a Zalman 9500 and AS5.

Check and see if you have the option in your Bios to see what the temp is there. Either way those are good CPU temps. I hope this helped.

core temp and speedfan read the same CPU temps, with realtemp if you set the TJ max to 100 on all cores it will also read the same temps.

SpeedFan monitor temperatures from several sources. By properly configuring SpeedFan, you can let it change fan speeds based on system temperatures. When choosing parameters for the minimum and maximum fan speed, try to set them by hand (disable all the VARIATE FANs checkboxes) and listen to the noise. When you hear no noise from the fan then you can set that value as the minimum fan speed for that fan. I suggest to use 100 as the maximum value, unless you hear a lot of noise from it, in which case you might reduce the maximum speed to 95 or 90.
