Hello,
I have a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ and a NVIDIA Geforce 7500 LE 512MB and 1GB of ram. Is this a good for overclocking and what I'm going to win as I am 64 with a single core?
Hello,
I have a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ and a NVIDIA Geforce 7500 LE 512MB and 1GB of ram. Is this a good for overclocking and what I'm going to win as I am 64 with a single core?
A dual core will be more appropriate, however, the dual core option cost more or less depending on the processor, motherboard and memory life
because I guess you're in Socket 939
Well I see that you have a Compaq BIOS allows you to change frequencies?
I do not know it is the answer as a big problem I had with my os and I could not happen so I can not tell you
And yes I wanted to spend on a X2 4400 or 4200 but could sub for the moment
But I can not find X2 socket 939 if anyone know of sites or even sell it
As highlighted before, the BIOS will probably be limited in the overclock. Regarding the processor, it may be easier to find what kind of processor for sale used. On Ebay, there are a good pair of 4200+. I have personally at 4400+ without box, without fans by against.
Thank you for your answer.
I will have regular and I'll try to make a computer. Otherwise, if I need an X2 I say! I think you take the X2 6400 or X2 6000
And what AM2 motherboard?
If it is by choice that you want to stay with AMD, the former Windsor chips are still effective despite a time of life "Therefore, the 65nm to my eyes in AMD remain a flop. If it is matter of budget, can be effective and relatively little at Intel.
Do we have constraints in both the budget in the Upgrade?
You can recycle the 7500LE (PCI-E) strips 1GB (512 x 2?) in PC5300.
Budget making in more or less than Intel/AMD:
AMD:
Windsor 6400 + BE:
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4 (AM2 +)
Intel:
Pentium Dual-Core 5300:
Asus P5Q:
I have no choice, I have a Windsor when I need to complete a restatement of a video, an hour? Or, take your time, as you do your job better, so much the better. In addition, it is highly effective for virtualization.
The Windsors are very good processor older generation because they are still the major route. They have nothing to be ashamed of their performance because they are not put to bed, far away.
If you prefer AMD, what I have suggested is a good base if you do not have a big budget.
