I test overclocker my CPU but the PC does not accept it.
Mother chart: Gigabyte P45-DS 3R
Processor: E8400 (E0)
Memories: 2x2Go OCZ PC8000
Firstly, I do not include/understand why CPU-Z detect them as PC2-6400 and not PC2-8000… and I have a question which is the advantage of taking of the 8000 instead of the 6400 if both function with 400Mhz.
In the BIOS I made the adjustments according to:
CPU Host Frequency: 400Mhz
PCI Express Frequency: 101Mhz
MCH Frequency Latch: 400Mhz
SPD: 2.00D
Memory Frequency: 800 800
Case: 5-5-5-18
GDR: 2.0V
CPU: 1.25V
I find that odd that the o/c does not hold for 3.6Ghz whereas one can normally mount this processor to 4Ghz
Thank you with all!
