    Overclocking Intel Celeron D 335

I have the best intel original motherboard and have an Intel Celeron D 335 processor. The problem is i ma able to over clock this processor at 3.00 ghz and cannot proceed beyond this as my system gets reboot. I have no idea as to how to handle such a situation.

Please provide some help regarding this

    Your help will be appreciated

Re: Overclocking Intel Celeron D 335

The Celeron D 335 is a very standard overclock, due mostly to the AGP and PCI bus locking features present in the mainstream i865G and i865PE chipsets. This allowed us to go to the absolute limit in terms of overall clock speeds, while maintaining 66 MHz AGP and 33 MHz PCI speeds. This also meant not worrying about exceeding the AGP or PCI specifications of our peripherals, and ensuring that the Celeron D 335 was not held back in any way. After extensive testing, we arrived at a 100% stable overclock of 3.55 GHz using a 169 MHz front-side bus speed and a core voltage level of 1.45V. We were able to hit 3.6 GHz, but this didn't prove to be totally stable in long-term, rigorous testing.

thats prolly about right for an unoverclocked cpu...whats your supporting hardware?

all i have is northwood based netburst chips though, so i cant give you a direct comparison. i DO have a 256K L2 celeron though.but its currently running vista

are you running integraded graphics?? The super Pi seems about right. My 335 use to do around 1min 16 seconds at default, and I was able to get it down to 51 seconds with an overclock of 3.485ghz and a 1-1 ratio on the ram with 2.5-3-3-6 timings.

    My setup:

    CPU: 335 Oc'd: 3.92
    Mobo: Asus P4P800-E DLX
    Ram: Kingston 1GB (timing: 3-3-3-8 5:4ratio)
    Video: 6600

I've never ran Aquamark before. But my Super Pi is 46sec. I'm not too sure if this is a great time. Right now its so hot in the studio that i have gone down a little on my CPU to 3.8. But, soon as the studio gets cold again i'll run Aquamark and tell what i get
